Musing on technologies for video and cinematography

Seeing is Believing

Recently another company come into the spotlight for producing a marketing video showing the benefit of their technology, it turns out that the video was not really produced with their product but was a representation of it.

We can understand the desire to show technology in its best light and to make a video that clearly shows the benefits you can expect to receive. At the same time, it is important to be clear what results you are showing.

All stabilized and motion edited videos on the MotionBend website were created with handheld video cameras and processed by MotionBend. Editing was done with bespoke tools or Final Cut Pro X. The output is the same as you would get if you were using MotionBend in your workflow.

Hopefully, you should be able to see that we have not tried to be overly kind to ourselves by only showing demonstration video of easy to stabilize scenes. We have picked many types of scene and content that would be candidates for stabilization or motion editing. There are videos of night time, reflections, fast and slow motion, large foreground objects, walking, panning, etc. etc.

If you want to check, you can download MotionBend and test it for free, to see for yourself what results you can get.
